What’s New for the 2024 BMW iX?

The BMW iX made its debut in 2022, emerging as a captivating choice in the automaker’s expanding lineup of electric vehicles. It boasts distinctive styling and delivers outstanding performance on the road. This all-electric, two-row crossover features premium finishes and advanced features across its two trim levels. As a relatively recent addition to BMW’s offerings, the iX has undergone changes between its 2023 and 2024 versions.

In the 2024 iX, the electric motor systems remain identical to those in the 2023 version. However, a notable enhancement is the independent preconditioning capability of the battery. The base trim, the xDrive50, houses a two-motor engine with a 324-mile battery range and an impressive 516 horsepower. Opting for the advanced M60 trim level provides a 288-mile range and a powerful 610 horsepower. Both systems come with all-wheel drive capabilities.

The striking exterior design of the 2024 BMW iX closely mirrors the styling of the 2023 model year. This EV crossover shares a similar size with the popular BMW X5 and stands out on the road with its contemporary and edgy style. The sleek sides and fenders are accented with crisp detailing, and the nose features sharp, triangle-shaped air intakes flanking the distinctive, kidney-shaped grille. Above the deep air vents, the segmented headlights add a touch of individuality. Available exterior features for the 2024 iX include laser headlights, wheels up to 21 inches, soft-close doors, and a panoramic sunroof.

All the premium features offered in the 2023 BMW iX are seamlessly integrated into the 2024 iX. The base trim includes a lane departure warning, parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connections. Opting for the top-tier 2024 iX trim level brings additional luxuries, such as an interior camera, an internet hotspot, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, automated parking, heated door panels, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
