Performance

The 2023 BMW XM is a plug-in hybrid SUV combining a 4.4-liter twin-turbo, V8 gas engine and an electric motor. The combination produces 644 horsepower. The all-electric driving range is 30 miles, and acceleration up to 60 miles per hour is achieved in only four seconds. The XM is exclusively available with all-wheel drive. This same powertrain is available in the 2024 model year. The Label Red edition introduced in the 2024 model year has a high-performance variation of this same plug-in hybrid system. This is a 738-horsepower system with a zero-to-60 time of 3.7 seconds.

Appearance

As an all-new model for the 2023 model year, the 2024 version has comparable styling. Flat angles establish its bold look through the profile with a low-slung roofline and a tall hood. The XM has sharp, geometric styling, including over the accents on the lower door panels, around the fenders, and throughout the nose. The traditional, kidney-style grille features sharp corners on the XM. This is combined with tall, rigid air vents and slender LED headlamps. The Label Red edition is differentiated by red trim around the grille, across the sides, on the wheels, and over the exhaust finishers.
